Getting started
- Wash the removable accessories, fill the water tank to MAX, and firmly seat the tank and drip tray.
- Place a 500 ml container under the portafilter and steam wand and run the first-use cycle as shown.
- Choose the appropriate filter basket, dose and tamp the coffee, and lock the portafilter into place before brewing.
Cleaning and maintenance
Wipe and purge the steam wand after texturing milk. Follow the BES450 clean-and-descale procedure when prompted; its button sequence differs from the Bambino Plus.
Common questions
Why does espresso barely flow?
Check the water tank, basket cleanliness, dose, and grind size. Coffee ground too finely can restrict flow; use the extraction troubleshooting table.
Which basket should I use?
The guide distinguishes single-wall baskets for freshly ground beans and dual-wall baskets for pre-ground coffee. Match the basket size to the dose.
What does a continuously flashing 2 Cup button mean?
